the reason is because of kernel HID drivers and inputreader.cpp in the source code. when you plug in a mouse or a supported touchscreen, the kernel HID driver detects it and loads based on whether the device reports that it is a keyboard, pointer, touchscreen, or trackpad (wacom tablet). when this happens, event hub is triggered, and inputreader is connected to the input. inputreader.cpp has code broken down for the different kinds of devices that the kernel will report, such as touchscreen or pointer or touchpad. and each section is different. like a touchscreen can trigger multitouch and calibration files and other things, while a touchpad is going to use relative position instead of absolute like a touchscreen, or that a pointer device has 2 or 3 buttons and can trigger different actions, like back or home. so for a mouse to trigger touches, it is going to have to emulate the commands of a touchscreen. either change in source code or if no source code, download a program from the playstore. i know there is one on there. can't remember the name. joystick touch or something like that.
or create a kernel level emulator driver and patch it into android to accept mouse input and emulate touch. that is a method chosen by Hard kernel for their odroid series of ARM devices.

I am getting a bit confused.
Just yesterday I ordered MK908 from
(in fact two sticks and a keybd as I thought this was a pretty good deal due to complicated shipment cost arrangements to this part of the world).
Now, I also got my previous two sticks (ug802 and mk808) from the same supplier, never had a single issue!
This stick has Android 4.1 installed, but is "RK3188 MINI PC MK908 2GB RAM 8GB 1.8GHz....." so it didn't bother me as I am anyway about to use Bob's ROMs only!
Today I started more detail search on freaktab forums, and was a bit confused: everywhere I search there is "transmart" mk908 ... etc. while this device hasn't got that "transmart" brand thing (is it?) on it.
Have I purchased the right stuff or is it a clone of some sort?
Second question, as I already downloaded Bob's 1.5a ROM:
Will I need to install new drivers for this devices (provided that it isn't a fake), as I think Bob wrote somewhere about it, or I got it wrong. Apparently quad core hw & new chipset need new drivers?
Or can I simply keep using my existing mk808&ug802 drivers already installed on a crappy old computer dedicated solely for this purpose?

You will need to install the new 3188 drivers. They are backwards compatible so they will also work on your 3066 devices.

I have noticed that an old busybox version is still lingering about this might solve some issues:

Can this be fixed by copy busybox from /system/bin to /system/xbin ?
I have one problem with T428, I've connected the USB Ethernet adapter that came with the device. But it keeps disconnecting when I come back after a while. And then I must pull the usb-plug before it works again.
Someone who have any advice? I use a unpowered usbhubb it might be that but my logitech keyboard who also are connected don't have any problems.

I can't seem to get my new Tronsmart T428 rooted and firmware updated. No matter what I do I have tried all the tricks none of it get's it rooted on both of my pc's. So no firmware update for me and therefore I am left with semi-functional device can you please figure out a way for me to do this or even better yet why can't they just implement over the air updates?

I have T428 and flashed it with this ROM.
I aslo have Logitech C310 web camera that I would like to use with T428 for video calls over Skype. But when I connected C310 it does not appear to be working on a just flashed ROM. The light on the camera didn't came on and google voice search couldn't detect camera mic as well.
I downloaded USB Camera Trial app to my T428 which says that it supports C310. This app powered up the camera but couldn't get the picture.
On Windows 7 camera works fine.
Original post says that it should work in this configuration. Am I missing something?
If anyone knows what could be the problem, please advise, as I am stuck.

First time flashing my T428 and trying to use 1080p kernel. Where is the 1080p kernel in this rom? Downloaded the Finless 1.5Rom also, and that only had 1 kernel and 1 boot.img... The rom Tronsmart MK908 4.2.2 Finless 1.5 had 2 set of files, but the ones for T428 don't.
Am I missing something?

Video stops every 15min when I play video via NAS Storage.
My Nas is pogoplug with arch linux.
Alpha test rom(4.1.1) works fine.
I am currently on 1.4 and Netflix worked fine at first but started giving me a error 131000 and wanted me to check development tool box "that said do not keep activities". Will this new ROM fix that error or is there something else I'm missing.
Things I tried : flash from stock to 1.4 , rebooted the system, cleaned the cash. Uninstaller it and reinstalled Netflix. even put on another Netflix 2.02 app from this site and I still get the same error.
Any help would be most appreciated.
