same here i tried to plug in otg port nothing changed. it still writtes multiple times.

In fact I still have multiple writes but far less than before. The trick is to bring the 2.4GHz dongle far from the device AND the charger! The 2Amps charger seems to irradiate in the 2.4GHz band and to jam signals.

You can try another charger (2amps!!!!) and/or hide it in a metal box.

To get good performance out of the MK808 use:

    1) HQ 2A/2.5A charger (CE and ROHS)!
    2) PS3 USB cable (or other HQ)!
    3) Put the 2.4GHz mouse/keyboard reciever on a long cable away from the device!
    4) Use Active and good quality USB hubs only (eg. Vivanco B-USB2 HUB 7A EDP 2.5A)!
    5) For cameras (skype) I recommend this one:
    http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/webcam...hd-webcam-c270
    6) To avoid problems, OC with a good setup (see 1 and 2)

    Resolution problems

    HI

I recently purchased the mk808, the only issue I am having is that I cannot seem to get the correct resolution to set. I have a Vizio 720 p tv and when I attempt to set it to the correct resolution under settings it continues to revert to 1080. The display looks very stretched. Can anyone help? Thank You

NEW - MK808 Android mini TV Player - Finless 1.5A Custom ROM

Just updated to 1.5a and play with it using stock power adapter. Wifi stayed connected during one hour with only one dropout. Great improvement.

    Thanks Bob.

Thank's Bob, great ROM. Wifi works like a charm, and I am able to watch Netflix, use samba shares to watch movies (sd and hd), watch tv-streams, and so on. Also clocking with SetCpu works all right.

However, in this topic some people have mentioned using XBMC.
I've searched the internet and noticed that it would be possible to use XBMC with MXPlayer, however, haven't been able to do it myself as being an Android newbie I probably lack some skills here.

The method (allthough for allwinners) is introduced here:
    http://www.j1nx.nl/allwinner-a10-xbm...rnal-mxplayer/

    More XBMC builds here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1813089

Has anyone been able to succesfully use XBMC with MXPlayer with MK808 ?

If so, a step by step installation guide (for an android idiot) would be much appreciated...

NEW - MK808 Android mini TV Player - Finless 1.5A Custom ROM

    Hi Jarno,
I follow this step and it works very well.

Sorry, I was not as clear as I should have been. Don't worry about the sources, everything you need is in the dropbox link:https://www.dropbox.com/sh/zzeie8gnp6n4ze4/gS-4P_r1KK . When I made that post, MX 1.7 was still beta, so it and the codec had to be installed via APKs. Now they're in the Market, so install them from there.

So to recap, install MX Player from the Play store and the appropriate codec for your system. Install xbmc from the dropbox link. I didn't mention this on reddit, but you'll probably want to run xbmc once so that it creates the files on the SD card. Quit xbmc, copy playercorefactory.xml to /sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/userdata. Start xbmc and you should be using MX!

    Cool Feature add

    Hi
Could u apply librpc.so to kernel.

So it will be possible to mount NFS shares via busybox?

SMB is slow and not sutiable for moviestreaming.

I would be really greatfull if you can do that.

    SetCPU

    Hello!

First time using setCPU, would like some help on how to use it.
Also what is the default CPU settings for the MK808? I moved around the min and max settings when I installed setCPU and can't remember what the min and max should be.
What is the optimal CPU settings for the MK808?

A step by step description would be nice!-)

And Bob; Great improvement on overall experience with the MK808 after installing your ROM

    Take care!

I managed to install the drivers, but not manually, but through windows 7.

the remainder of the installation is very simple.

Use Ghost Commander instead, you will see the extra folder.
